Welcome / Introduction

We are delighted to invite all Snowboard Alpine Teams to the second edition of the VISA FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup, taking place at Val Saint-Côme, in the stunning Lanaudière region of Québec, on March 14–15, 2026.

Nestled in the heart of the Laurentians, Val Saint-Côme offers a world-class venue with terrain perfectly suited for alpine snowboarding. Following the success of last season’s debut, this year’s edition promises to raise the bar even higher for athletes and spectators alike.

Get ready for an electrifying weekend of racing! Athletes will face off in a thrilling head-to-head parallel knockout format, where precision, speed, and nerve decide who advances through each round. Only the fastest and most fearless will reach the final, will that champion be you?

The finish area, located directly at the base of the Auberge Val Saint-Côme, creates a perfect amphitheatre atmosphere, bringing the excitement right to the crowd.

Registration, Quotas, and Fees

Registration

Registration for the World Cups will be done online through the FIS Registration and Entry system. They must be submitted by the National Sports Organizations. 

Please ensure EVERYONE who will be attending is registered in the FIS registration for this event.

Please note that the OC will not accept any registrations that are done outside of the FIS registration and Entry system. Any registration requests submitted via email will not be accepted. The OC will not make any exceptions to this rule.

Deadline for Entry
  • Provisional entry: February 2, 2026
  • Final entries: March 4, 2026

Quotas

FIS World Cup Quotas for entries will be used. Quotas will be based on the provisional entries.

Team Leader

Each nation is to assign a single “Team Leader” for the event. The team Leader will be the main contact person for the event, including accommodations, invoicing, payment, waivers etc. 

Registration Fees

A registration fee of 60 CHF will be charged for each athlete to register for the event. This includes access to all official training days, qualifications and finals.

Invoicing

All invoices for this event will be created for the whole nation, as registered on the FIS online portal. If an invoice needs to be changed, please provide plenty of advance notice.

Please inform the OC by email (nycvarjbeyqphc@pnanqnfabjobneq.pn) if any of the following information is required by February 2, 2026.
 

  • Specific person invoice should be billed to
  • Specific billing address needed on invoice 
  • If the bill needs to be split in any way (ie. halfpipe and slopestyle teams need separate invoices, etc). 
    • Correct contact information will be needed for each individual on the invoice. 

Following the final entry deadline, the OC will send each nation their invoice for the full balance. Payment before arrival is encouraged. 

Payment

Payment will be accepted via credit card or wire transfer. NO cash will be accepted. 

If your nation plans to pay via wire transfer, please inform the OC (nycvarjbeyqphc@pnanqnfabjobneq.pn) by February 2, 2026, so the correct details can be sent for this process.

Prepayment before the nation's arrival is preferred and encouraged. Payment via credit card will be accepted onsite, but is discouraged. 

Please note: Payment per person will NOT be accepted; invoices are created per nation. Please see the invoicing details above.  

Media

Athletes/ team photographers, videographers and media attaches must contact our media/ press team (zrqvn@pnanqnfabjobneq.pn) to obtain the proper accreditation for the event.

Accommodation

Athlete accommodation will be provided at various accommodation partners near the competition venue. 
FIS rate accommodations are available from March 11, 2026 - March 16, 2026. 

Accommodations need to be booked in the FIS online registration form. The OC uses the online submission to make all accommodation reservations. Ensure that the arrival/ departure dates, roommates etc. are correct online. The OC will only accept room changes, additions and cancellations made through the FIS portal.  Please do not contact the host hotel as they will not be able to offer the same rates. All accommodations requirements and/or requests MUST be input into the FIS registration system by February 2, 2026.

Rates:

The following rates are for double rooms: 

  • 100 CHF per person/ per night incl. Breakfast & Dinner (for teams in accordance to FIS WC 5.3.1 )
  • 120 CHF per person/ per night incl. Breakfast & Dinner (for additional support staff in accordance to FIS WC 5.3.3 ) 

The following rates are for single rooms:
Price will vary for single rooms requested. Please contact the OC (nycvarjbeyqphc@pnanqnfabjobneq.pn) to request pricing details.

Hotel Check-In

  • A credit card will be required at hotel check-in for incidentals/ damages 
  • The host hotel will charge the individual/ teams for all incidents and damages that may occur in your hotel room.
  • The host hotel will charge the individual/ teams for early check-outs if the hotel staff are not made aware of the date change at check-in

Note: the rates listed above are only offered until February 2, 2026, any reservations made after these dates are not guaranteed at the FIS rate. Please make sure all your accommodation planning is completed prior. 

Meals

Half board (breakfast and dinner) will be served by the OC each day. The time and location will depend on the event schedule. Details will be shared with registered teams. 

Lunch will be at the cost of the athlete, options will be available at Val Saint-Côme.  

Cancellations / No-Show

Cancellations of any accommodations MUST be done through the FIS online registration system. The OC does not accept any cancellation or changes via email. 

Any bookings (athletes or support staff) that are canceled on or after February 2, 2026, are subject to cancellation fees. Cancellation charges will be billed directly to the nation and payment expected within 30 days. 

All accommodation no-shows will be subject to cancellation fees, these will be billed directly to the nation and payment is expected within 30 days. 

Transportation

Teams are responsible for their transportation to and from Val Saint-Côme. The Montreal-Trudeau International Airport will be the best place to fly in/out of.

Public Transportation: 
Please note that there is no public transportation in Val Saint-Côme.

VISA

All traveling parties may need a valid Canadian Visa. The organizing committee will provide a specific visa invitation to the competitors. Please contact nycvarjbeyqphc@pnanqnfabjobneq.pn for invitation letters.

When requesting a visa invitation, include a table with the following information for all participants:

  • Last and first names
  • Date of birth
  • Function/position (athlete, coach, technician, etc.)
  • Passport country
  • Passport number
  • Passport expiration date
  • FIS number (for athletes)

Team Captain Meetings

Team Captain’s meetings will be held in person at Val Saint-Côme, the exact location will be sent to all registered teams.

Bibs

All competitors must wear assigned bibs during all competitions and award ceremonies.

Prize Money

Prize money will be paid in accordance to FIS Rule WC 5.6 

The winners will receive their money via bank transfer.  

Prize money will be transferred using the payment information in the athletes' FIS profile. An email notification will be sent if additional or confirmation of information is required. 

Failure to provide accurate banking information in the FIS  Athlete Profile will result in non-payment. Please ensure accurate banking information is uploaded on the athlete's FIS profile immediately following the competition.

Anti-Doping

Anti-doping control may be conducted for each discipline and gender, in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by FIS.

Medical

Each competitor must have his/her own medical Travel Insurance. The Organizing Committee, Val Saint-Côme,  Canadian Snowsports Association, FIS, Canada Snowboard, sponsors and suppliers decline any responsibility for accidents, damaged equipment, and second and third-party claims during the event.  

In the case of accidents on course during the event, medical personnel from the OC and Ski Patrol personnel will be responsible for any medical decision or evacuation to the local hospital in cooperation with the National Sports Associations’ medical personnel identified on the entry form.

A detailed medical plan is in place and medical staff will be present during all training and competition. 

Regulations & Insurance

All athletes, officials and other members of their National Sports Association who attend and participate in the event shall do so at their own risk. The LOC, Québec Snowboard, Val Saint-Côme, the Canadian Snowsports Association, FIS, Canada Snowboard, sponsors and suppliers, their agents, employees and volunteers, shall not be held responsible for any losses or injuries incurred or suffered by any athlete, official or other person in conjunction with the organization or staging of the event. All participants are urged not to be negligent in safeguarding their personal belongings at all times. The aforementioned parties will take no responsibility for missing belongings.

Liability

All athletes, officials and other members of their National Sports Association who attend and participate in the event shall do so at their own risk. Equipment Storage / Waxing

The competitors, coaches and officials must store their snowboards, wax and waxing tools in the area provided by the hotel or team vehicles. Snowboards will not be permitted in your hotel room. 

Wax facilities will be available.  More details will be sent to registered nations.
