The Style Experience FIS Big Air World Cup Event Invitation

WELCOME TO #SHREDMONTON

Welcome / Introduction

The 2023, Style Experience FIS Big Air World Cup, will take the world by storm this December in Edmonton, Alberta. Hosted at the Commonwealth Stadium which is Canada’s largest outdoor stadium. We are pleased to invite all Snowboard Big Air & Slopestyle teams to this event. We are proud to host the teams on Treaty 6 territory, home to the Nêhiyaw (Cree), Nakota Isga (Nakota Sioux), Dene and Saulteaux. It is an ancestral homeland of the Métis and a long-standing place of importance for the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot).

The 2023 Style Experience will host the FIS Snowboard Big Air World Cup, as well as headlining music acts, a heavy hitting urban rail jam, public snow slides, outdoor vendors all built into a festival experience.  Teams will be hosted in the 5-star luxury of the JW Marriott, in the Ice District, located in downtown Edmonton. This is one of Canada’s  finest high end hotels and it is offered at the FIS World Cup rate.

The Big Air jump has had some minor modifications to ensure that cold snow conditions will not affect speed. The design team, led by Charles Beckinsale in partnership with Arena Snowparks have evolved their design further in order to align with the best on-snow jumps, similar to the slopestyle jumps in which the teams train on. All this wrapped up and put in an urban setting on a big air scaffold jump right in the middle of downtown Edmonton.

Get ready for the best rider focused Big Air on the tour, this event is going to be huge.  Edmonton is known to bring out a big crowd in any conditions, so get yourself registered.

About Edmonton

Edmonton is the capital city of the province of Alberta. Not too far from the Rockies, and with ski/snowboard hills built right into the surrounding river valley, Edmontonians are stoked on snowboarding. Centrally-located in Alberta's industrial heartland, Edmonton still hosts some epic landscapes both within and surrounding the city. Edmonton is a young and dynamic city with something for everyone: from one of the largest shopping malls in the world to one of the largest urban parks in the world. Fans love their sports, and with the event held right downtown, there's amazing food, bars, shopping all connected through a series of above-ground glass corridors that connect the downtown without ever stepping outside. "
