Canada Snowboard’s 2021 Major Events and World Cups will be held in COVID-19 Risk Managed Environments.
In order to ensure the health and safety for the athletes and team personnel, the LOC is working in accordance with the Regional and National Health regulations as well as with FIS in accordance with the FIS COVID-19 Prevention Organiser Guidelines together with the World Health Organisation (WHO) information and recommendations. The LOC and FIS Event Task Force has been established and is monitoring all developments. The corresponding arrangements are currently being put together in a separate document. This will be published and communicated by the LOC at a later stage. All competitors must have their own medical insurance (ICR art 212) which shall cover COVID-19 medical treatment expenses. Updated COVID-19 relevant medical procedures that may be required will be communicated whenever relevant.

Entry for the Snowboard World Cup must be processed by the National Snow Sports Association through the IPC portal (SDMS):
The 2022 Welcome to Paradise, Para Snowboard IPC World Cup race entry deadlines are;
Entries by number open 12 weeks prior to the event
• Entries by number close 3 weeks prior to the event
• Entries by name open 3 weeks prior to the event
• Entries by name closed 1 week prior to the event
• Wild card open 4 weeks prior to the event
• Wild card close 1 week prior to the event
Registration for the World Cups will be done digitally. Details to be provided once entry is done through the IPC registration system.
Please pay the full Race Entry and Accommodation Fees. The race entry and accommodation fees are NOT REFUNDABLE
All payments should be done pre the event arrival date digitally to avoid face to face registration. Payment onsite will be possible but is discouraged.

Race Entry Fee (Riders)
The race entry fee is the amount that must be paid per athlete to the LOC for each race, including the official snowboard training day, specified on the program. The race entry fee is non-refundable provided the Jury cancels the race.

Amenities include breathtaking views, outdoor pool and hot tub, games room, fitness center, heated underground parking & ski locker storage.
All hotel rooms are equipped with new 40-inch HDTVs and provided with TELUS Optik TV and in-room internet access is high speed (15Mbps), wireless, private and secure.
Each hotel room has its own Galley Kitchen which includes an induction cooker, mini-refrigerator, microwave and sink. Dishes, cookware and utensils are included.

Our meal plan will be provided by various restaurants throughout the Big White Village. Vouchers will be provided for breakfast, lunch and dinner for each day to be used at restaurant(s) of your choice.

All competitors must wear Canada Snowboard training bibs during official training and return them in order to receive the official event bib for competition and award ceremonies.

All athletes, officials and other members of their National Sport Association who attend and participate in the event shall do so at their own risk.
The Organizing Committee, Big White Ski Resort, the Canadian Snowsports Association, IPC, Canada Snowboard, sponsors and suppliers, their agents, employees and volunteers, shall not be held responsible for any losses or injuries incurred or suffered by any athlete, official or other person in conjunction with the organization or staging of the event. All participants are urged not to be negligent in safeguarding their personal belongings at all times. The aforementioned parties will take no responsibility for missing belongings.
Each competitor must have his/her own medical and COVD-19 Travel Insurance. The Organizing Committee, Big White Ski Resort, the Canadian Snowsports Association, IPC, Canada Snowboard, sponsors and suppliers decline any responsibility for accidents, damaged equipment, and second and third party claims during the event.
In the case of accidents on course during the event, medical personnel from the OC and Ski Patrol personnel will be responsible for any medical decision or evacuation to the local hospital in cooperation with the National Sport Associations’ medical personnel identified on the entry form.
COVID-19 Travel Insurance information will need to be provided for each athlete and service personnel to the organizing committee upon registration.
Anti-doping control may be conducted for each discipline and gender, in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by IPC.
The winners will receive their money via bank transfer.
Athletes will be digitally notified immediately following the event finals day to provide details in order to claim their prize money.
Canada’s borders are opening in a staged manner to fully vaccinated international travellers. As the COVID-19 situation is always changing please read the government of Canada's latest information below. Canada Snowboard will be doing everything in our power to assist competitors and teams to gain the easiest possible entry permits but are 100% controlled by government regulation. It is very clear however that in order to access Canada for major events in 2021 / 2022 everyone will require being fully vaccinated with one of the Canadian Government’s approved vaccines to avoid long quarantine requirements.
